They pulled out the microspikes and the ice axes and we knew we were in for a real treat. These guys took a hiking engagement session to a whole new level for us.

We raced against the setting sun to attempt to reach the top up near Pinnacle Saddle and we really lucked out – not because of the clearing skies – or the insane mountain views – we lucked out because we were photographing the two sweetest and most patient humans. I mean, if you’ve met us – the hubs and I – we like to “hike” but this was a bit more for us. Fooooor example – TWICE my microspikes got caught in the laces of my opposite foot and I fell FLAT on my face…. TWICE. HA! [you really should be following along on our instagram – to keep up with the ridiculousness] AND I may or may not have broken one of their trekking poles. (sorry guys!) Also, if you’ve met me – you know I try not to take myself too seriously. Who’s got time to waste doing that? So, all in all we laughed – a lot – at the situation, at ourselves but ultimately – we took some darn good photos.

And if I ever needed a little perspective in my life – Andrea hoofed her way to the top and said “my goal is to not sweat so I don’t mess with my makeup”, and when we got to our final destination – she whipped out a sundress. Craziness…. AND on our way down – we ran into a snowboarder on his way up… “hey man. oh ya know, I’ll probably just wait for the moon to come out – use the starlight to light my ride back down.”

Who are these people?!
