It feels good to be sharing these photos today. During their family session I had maybe a 5 second (likely longer) conversation with Mike + Lisa about the importance of marriage. They had just returned from celebrating their anniversary in ARUBA! (dreamy) and I could tell how important of a trip it was for them. A statement to themselves + the world that they’re in this thing. Its not because its easy – its because its worth it.
So, with a few hours of empty house time on this morning of my own anniversary – it feels right to get to spend a little time on this session. It makes us (the hubs + I) so honored to get to do this job. Shooting a wedding is amazing. Witnessing the start of a long journey. Getting hired to step in and take anniversary photos + vow renewal photos – it means SO much to us. Doing this thing day after day – as a married couple – we’re so taken aback by getting to document such an incredible journey. So you better believe that if you’re hiring us to take family photos – we’ll be honored to remind you in pictures that it’s your love that started it all in the first place.
