We met Trevor on one of the blistery hot days of the summer out at Pelindaba Lavender Farm on beautiful San Juan Island. He was excited and nervous and battling with his cell phone reception to make sure the plan was working without a hitch. Sally’s best friend had come into town and they went out on a normal Saturday afternoon to get their nails done + have a girl-day in the south-Seattle area… When Sally was dropped off at a little local airport with a note from Trevor encouraging her to get on the plane – Sally became the nervous and excited one. Trevor had arranged for her afternoon flight out to San Juan Island (Sally not knowing he’d already flown over earlier that day), a car picked her up from the airport and delivered her to the lavender farm. Kevin and I were among other local tourists and photographers, smelling the lavender + photographing the bees. We crouched amongst the insanely loud bee-buzzing and snapped a few photos of “the best day ever!” (-Trevor)
